  After selling a million units in United States in just 45 days, Samsung has announced that its only Galaxy S device (SHW-M110S) has achieved a similar milestone in 70 days. This is undoubtedly, the fastest selling phone in the South Korean market that sells in about every six seconds. Galaxy S surpassed this sales figure three times faster than its Yu-Na Haptic phone that also sold a million units in about 210 days.

  Samsung has announced two new music players, the recently leaked YP-Q3 and YP-U6 that will be showcased at the IFA in a couple of days. The YP-Q2 PMP as we know sports a clean design with a color matching GUI, 5.1-channel sound support, SoundAlive and gives up to 45 hours of audio and 6 hours of video on a full battery charge. On the other hand, YP-U6 is a simple audio player with a color display, SoundAlive, Fitness mode that shows the calories burnt, Voice feedback and 20 hours of continuous audio playback.

Motorola Europe has announced on its FaceBook page that the Milestone will receive a free update to the latest version of Android – 2.2 aka FroYo. Don’t get too excited as the roll-out would begin only in Q4 or end of this year in Europe. Regarding Asia Pacific , an update to 2.2 is still under evaluation

O2 in the UK has announced Pay as You Go pricing for the iPhone 4 on it’s network. Price wise, the 16GB model will cost £495 with the 32GB model costing £595. It isn’t clear why O2 is charging so much for the iPhone 4 considering the version direct from Apple [AAPL] costs £499 and £599 and the ones from Apple are unlocked allowing you to put any microSIM card in them you want.
